    Aulla: gateway to Lunigiana and the Via Francigena

    A transit town on the Via Francigena, with the Fortezza della Brunella, shops and services. About 35 minutes from Camporaghena.

    What it is

    Aulla is the main transit hub of Lunigiana, at the junction of the A15 motorway and the road to the sea. It's not a tourist village, but it has the Fortezza della Brunella (museum), the historic centre and all services. A waypoint for those arriving or departing.
