What they are
The Equi Caves are a system of karst caves in the Apuan Alps, open to the public with guided tours. The route lasts about an hour and winds through galleries, halls and underground lakes. The temperature is constant at around 14°C, so they're cool even in summer.
The visit is easy and suitable for children. You don't need any special equipment: just a jacket (it's cool inside) and comfortable shoes.
