Waterfalls of Equi Terme and Monzone: walks and swimming
Natural waterfalls near Equi Terme and Monzone, in the Apuan Alps. Accessible on foot, ideal for a summer walk and a refreshing dip. About 30 minutes from Camporaghena.
What they are
The area between Equi Terme and Monzone is rich in streams and waterfalls carved into the marble of the Apuan Alps. The most accessible are the Equi Terme waterfalls (near the village) and those along the Monzone stream. They are not equipped facilities: they are natural spots, reached via short trails.
In summer you can swim in the natural pools. The water is cold (it comes straight from the mountains), but on a hot day it's a blessing. Bring water shoes (the rocks are slippery) and a towel.
